First up, we have an anthology for those who like to mix science fiction with Sherlock Holmes: Sherlock Holmes Adventures in the Realms of Steampunk Like Sherlock Holmes: Adventures in the Realms of H.G. Wells , this collection will feature all new traditional Sherlock Holmes adventures with a science-fiction edge. Sherlock Holmes: Adventures in the Realms of Steampunk will feature Holmes in a futuristic Victorian setting.  See him deal with airship pirates and steam powered robots. Our big announcement for today comes in conjunction with the Junior Sherlockian Society , a program of The Beacon Society , a scion society of The Baker Street Irregulars .  The Junior Sherlockian Society invites children and youth to complete Junior Sherlockian Training- an in-depth study of Sherlock Holmes’s character traits, observational skills, capacity for critical thought, and inductive and deductive reasoning. The Junior Sherlockian Society and Belanger Books are pleased to announce a new anthology of Sherlock Holmes stories written by established authors and student authors alike.  The anthology, The Irregular Adventures of Sherlock Holmes , will be a collection of all new Sherlock Holmes adventures . The royalties from the sale of the book will be donated to the Beacon Society so that they may provide more funding to teachers to introduce students to Doyle's original Sherlock Holmes stories. Today is August 9th, the 221st day of the year!  To celebrate this singular day, the Beacon Society , a scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars which focuses on exemplary educational experiences that introduce children and young adults to Sherlock Holmes, proudly launches the Junior Sherlockian Society .  The society invites children and youth to complete Junior Sherlockian Training- an in-depth study of Sherlock Holmes’s character traits, observational skills, capacity for critical thought, and inductive and deductive reasoning. During the online training, Sherlockians-in-Training complete the 2-2-1-b tasks to explore , experience , and extend their understanding and appreciation of the great detective. Upon completion of the tasks and submission of “training evidence,” a certificate of completion is granted.
