New MX Sherlock Holmes Anthology on Kickstarter, New Solar Pons, and Sherlock Holmes in the Realms of H.G. Wells

If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan (and if you are reading this blog, you must be), you should be well aware that the greatest collections of Sherlock Holmes stories published since the original canon are the volumes of The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories.  I am proud to have stories in over half of the volumes (Volumes I, IV, V, VI, and VIII to be exact and a poem in the forthcoming Volume IX). These volumes contain new traditional Sherlock Holmes pastiches and the caliber of the stories is incredible. As a bonus, all the proceeds from the sales of the books go to the Stepping Stones School at Undershaw.  This is a school for special needs students housed at the former estate of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Currently available on Kickstarter is Eliminate the Impossible, which contains Volumes VII and VIII of the MX books.  These stories are a treat in that they have to deal with the supernatural though they still have to have some connection to the rationale to make them traditional stories.

My story, "In the Realm of the Wretched King," was written with my 7th grade students last year. As part of their 7th grade project, students in my Language Arts class conducted research on the Victorian era. They chose topics such as Victorian technology, Victorian fashion, even Victorian ghosts.  The students then persuaded me on what I had to include in my story. I had to find a way to fit in everything from early automobiles to mystery airships.  How did I do it? well, you'll have to read the story yourself to find out!

All of my students get credited in the special thanks section of Volume VIII.  I hope you'll back the project here and see their remarkable work.

Sherlock Holmes in the realms of H.G. Wells to be a Two Volume Set

We are excited to announce that Sherlock Holmes in the Realms of H.G. Wells had the most submissions of any of our Sherlock Holmes collections yet.  While we could only accept about half of our submissions, we ended up with 20 gems of stories, some from bestselling authors and others from first time writers.  So, we decided that the book will now be a two volume set and will be available through Kickstarter in October.

We are also excited to announce that both volumes will be available in hardcover editions during the Kickstarter campaign as well as paperback and ebook editions.

Solar Pons Kickstarter Launches in Less Than a Month

These are exciting times for Belanger Books! we are less than a month away from releasing our long awaited new Solar Pons collection, the first new collection of Solar Pons stories in 20 years!  David Marcum is completing the finishing touches on the stories, and we will be good to go for the September 1st launch.

The book will be available via Kickstarter in hardback, paperback, and ebook editions.  Look for more news about the project soon.
